Cross the bridge to Victory….

As we come to end of this series, ‘You ARE God’s Masterpiece’, let’s look back ~ remember and rehearse ~  why we have the right and ability to see ourselves as God sees us ~ His Masterpiece!

Take a moment and allow God’s love to flow through you, as you remember:

  • God loves you!  He forgives you, redeems you, beautifies, dignifies and crowns you with loving-kindness and tender mercy!  As far as the east is from the west, He no longer remembers your sin. (Psalm 103 ~ your benefit package)
  • God sculpted you from nothing into something; He knows you inside and out; His thoughts of you outnumber the grains of sand! (Psalm 139:13-18)
  • He created you in His image and likeness; and then breathed the breath or spirit of life into you!  (Genesis 1:26; 2:7)
  • You are a new creation, because of Jesus’ sacrifice for you. The old is passed away.   (2 Corinthians 5:17; 21)
  • Jesus redeemed you from ALL of the curses (Deuteronomy 28:15-68); and made you righteous [in right standing] ~ able to stand in front of the Father God without a sense of guilt, condemnation or inferiority!!
  • You are not abandoned, but chosen by God! (Galatians 4:4-7)
  • You are a child of the Most High God. (1 John 3:1)
  • Nothing can get between you and God’s love, because of Jesus.  (Romans 8:31-39)
  • God sent His Son, Jesus, to walk this earth.  Jesus experienced all the emotions and pain you face today ~ HE understands and walks with you, no matter what you face!

His love is so personal and real, and intended for all who choose to receive it.   You’ve crossed the bridge to victory when you receive God’s unconditional love and forgiveness through Jesus Christ.  See yourself through the eyes of God and hear His truths, instead of that which diminished you in past history!  See yourself anew ~ the mighty workmanship/masterpiece God created you to be!

“For we are God’s Masterpiece.  He has created us anew in Christ Jesus so we can do the good things He planned for us long ago.”  Ephesians 2:10 NLT

“For I know the plans I have for you, says the Lord.  They are for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.”  Jeremiah 29:11

Does God really understand your challenges?

Is your God real/personal to you?  Do you believe He understands your day-to-day challenges?  Check this out …

“The Word was with God, and the Word was God …
God created everything through him, and nothing was created except through him … And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us…”  John 1:1, 3,14

Jesus experienced life on this earth … and HE showed us how to live victoriously!

Earlier in this series, we read how God breathed the breath of life into us, loves us, knows every detail about us and chose us!  And now we take a glimpse at how God, through His Son Jesus ~ born flesh and bloodtruly understands what we go through.  Let’s look at a very brief picture of Jesus’ life on earth:

  • He experienced a humble beginning.  The King of Kings, born in a manger; Born poor so we could be rich.  (Luke 2:6-7; 2 Corinthians 8:9);
  • Born of a woman ~ born flesh and blood.  Jesus was at the same time truly   human and divine.  (Galatians 4:4; Luke 1:31);
  • He has genealogy~ parents, grandparents…from the seed of Abraham (Matthew 1:1-21 Galatians 3:16);
  • Experienced an unsettled childhood ~ moved a lot; Herod was trying to kill him!  (Matthew 2:13-14,19-20, 22)
  • He was the son of a carpenter;and he had siblings (Matthew 13:55);
  • He had friends who didn’t get along; his brothers didn’t believe Him (Mark 9:33-35; Luke 9:45-47; John 6:60-64; John 7:5);
  • He was seriously tempted (Luke 4:1-13);
  • He wept (John 11:35; Luke 19:41-42);
  • Brokenhearted – distressed and grieved (Isaiah 63:9-10; John 11:33-38);
  • Angered ~ righteous indignation (Mark 11:15-17; John 2:13-17; Mark 3:5);
  • Rejected (Isaiah 53:3; Luke 9:22; Luke 17:25; Luke 4:16, 24);
  • Wrongly accused ~ standing in silence before His accusers (Isaiah 53:7; Matthew 27:12-19);
  • Tricked and tested ~ people trying to entrap Him (Mark 14:1; Matthew 16:1; Matthew 22:15);
  • Mocked, beaten and spat upon (Matthew 27:31; Mark 15:16-20; Matthew 26:67);
  • Betrayed by Judas.  Denied by Peter.  (John 13:18-19; Matthew 27:3; Psalm 41:9; Mark 14:66-72; John 6:60-64);
  • Humiliated; felt forsaken (Luke 23:32-33; Mark 15:34);
  • Compassionate (Matthew 9:36; Matthew 14:14; John 8:10-11);
  • So loved the world (John 3:16-17).

Have you ever felt brokenhearted, tested, humiliated?  If so, know that Christ faced many of the trials we face.  I encourage you to know deep in your heart how real our God is to us ~ and how through His Word, He shows us the way to walk through these challenges, living a victorious life because of what Jesus did for us on the cross at Calvary!  He took all our curses/afflictions on the cross so we would not have to carry them.  And, He gave us His Word ~ the tools we need to move forward victoriously.  Receive His gift today!   Be encouraged, for He does understand you and loves you immensely, as He upholds you and takes your ‘hand’ to walk you through the fire.

Chosen, adopted … unconditionally loved!

Have there been times or circumstances in your life when you felt abandoned, or that no one was standing up for you?  As a believer in Christ, truth is, we’re never alone or abandoned.  Instead, we are chosen, adopted and embraced by a loving God ~ as we receive HIS love and precious gift!!

Throughout scripture, it tells us how much God loves us, chose us, adopted us, cares for us … but today, I share this powerful scripture.  I pray you are encouraged to know deep within you how precious you are in the eyes of God ~ how much HE loves and cares for YOU!

“So, what do you think?  With God on our side like this, how can we lose? If God didn’t hesitate to put everything on the line for us, embracing our condition and exposing himself to the worst by sending his own Son, is there anything else he wouldn’t gladly and freely do for us? And who would dare tangle with God by messing with one of God’s chosen? Who would dare even to point a finger? The One who died for us—who was raised to life for us!—is in the presence of God at this very moment sticking up for us. Do you think anyone is going to be able to drive a wedge between us and Christ’s love for us? There is no way! Not trouble, not hard times, not hatred, not hunger, not homelessness, not bullying threats, not backstabbing, not even the worst sins listed in Scripture …  I’m absolutely convinced that nothing—nothing living or dead, angelic or demonic, today or tomorrow, high or low, thinkable or unthinkable—absolutely nothing can get between us and God’s love because of the way that Jesus our Master has embraced us.”  Romans 8:31-39 The Message version

As a believer in Jesus Christ, you have received God’s Spirit of adoption; the Spirit of power and love; a calm, well-balanced mind; discipline and self-control.  You are God’s child, and also heir, with complete access to the inheritance; chosen by God, chosen for a high calling!  Romans 8:15; 2 Timothy 1:7; Galatians 4:4-7

You ARE God’s Masterpiece!

Seen Through Loving Eyes …

Have you ever imagined yourself standing before God?  Who does HE see?

In truth
, as a believer … our loving God looks at you and me blameless and righteous!
Instead of seeing everything we’re ashamed of, or disappointed about;
instead of seeing us defeated or a failure;
instead of seeing us sick or disfigured …
as believers in Jesus Christ,  God sees us blameless and righteous!

Righteous ~ In right standing before God.  Because of Jesus’s sacrifice for us, we are redeemed (freed from distress; released from blame and consequences of sin) and we are in right standing before God!  What a gift, if we receive it!!

“For everyone has sinned; we all fall short of God’s glorious standard. Yet God, with undeserved kindness, declares that we are righteous. He did this through Christ Jesus when he freed us from the penalty for our sins. For God presented Jesus as the sacrifice for sin. People are made right with God when they believe that Jesus sacrificed his life, shedding his blood.”  Romans 3:23-25

Everything that we have—right thinking and right living, a clean slate and a fresh start—comes from God by way of Jesus Christ.  1 Corinthians 1:30

Knowing what scripture says, can you truly see yourself standing in front of Father God … clean, without guilt, condemnation or inferiority?

How do you change the negative, destructive thoughts?  As you receive God’s gift to you through Jesus Christ ~ you receive God’s everlasting, unconditional love.  As you study His scriptures you begin to renew your thinking ~ seeing yourself through His loving eyes!

I pray you can see yourself as God does ~ for you ARE God’s Masterpiece!

Easter ~ Celebrating The Ultimate Gift!

Happy and Blessed Easter to you and your family!

These last few days we’ve celebrated Good Friday and Easter ~ Resurrection Sunday!  A time to contemplate the ultimate gift given to mankind.

If you have ever wondered how God could possibly see us (you and me) as HIS Masterpiece, remember HE can … because God sees us through Jesus ~ and the ultimate sacrifice HE made!

Ponder for a moment …  God looks at you and me … and instead of seeing everything we’re ashamed of, or disappointed about; instead of seeing us defeated or a failure; instead of seeing us sick or disfigured … HE sees us blameless and righteous, as we receive Jesus as our Lord and Savior!  Wow!   What a gift we’ve been given, and what a reason to celebrate!

I pray you have received that gift, and with all of your heart you know ~ beyond a shadow of a doubt ~ that you ARE God’s Masterpiece (HIS uniquely created, loved, cared for Masterpiece)!  The One who gave HIS life in exchange for yours ~ so you could live a victorious life here, and for eternity!  You ARE HIS precious child ~ see yourself as HE does!

“For God so greatly loved and dearly prized the world that He [even] gave up His only begotten (unique) Son, so that whoever believes in (trusts in, clings to, relies on) Him shall not perish (come to destruction, be lost) but have eternal (everlasting) life.

For God did not send the Son into the world in order to judge (to reject, to condemn, to pass sentence on) the world, but that the world might find salvation and be made safe and sound through Him.”  John 3:16-17

Your Good News …. Claim it!

Today … if you are feeling sick, sad, poor, defeated, confused, poor or generally cursed … I have really good news for you!

“Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us…”  Galatians 3:13 (NKJV)

You have been redeemed! Maybe like me, you may have read that and not completely understood it.  What does it mean to you personally ~ to your issues; to your sadness or sickness; to your poverty?  Let me share what I learned and what this means for you personally!

Jesus Christ, when HE died on the cross for you and me … HE redeemed us from every curse that came, or will ever come our way.  When Adam and Eve were deceived in the garden, sin, evil and calamity entered this world.  God so loved us, that He sent Jesus who walked this earth, experienced our pain, and then sacrified His life so He could take upon Him all of our curses of depression, oppression, grief, sickness, poverty, and sin … He bore it all for us!

Redeemed:  to buy back; repurchase; to free from distress or harms; to release from blame or debt; to free from the consequences of sin; to change for the better; repair; restore, reform!

To truly understand the magnitude of what that means for you, I encourage you to read Deuteronomy 28:15-68 … where Moses identifies in detail every curse ~ confusion, poverty, mental and physical ailments, etc. ~ that would come because of disobedience to God.  BUT the good news, is that Jesus redeemed you from every single one, when you received Him as your Lord and Savior!  As you read those scriptures and recognize the curses that have come into your life …. say, because of Jesus I AM REDEEMED from … (be specific). Make it personal, because Jesus gave His life in exchange for yours. Claim your victory, for you are an overcomer because of Christ.  Begin to see yourself victorious!

In the end, Moses says:

“… I have set before you life and death, the blessings and the curses; therefore choose life, that you and your descendants may live.”  Deuteronomy 30:19

You have a choice to live/die defeated or to live victoriously as God intended.  Remember how much God loves you; He created you in His image; you’re a new creature in Christ; Jesus took all your sin and curses, AND gives you life eternal.  Choose and receive your good news ~ claim your victory today!

His Unfailing Love ~ Peace

Let us rest for a moment …. wrap our hearts and minds around how much God loves us ~ how precious we are in His sight!  
Remember how God intricately created you ~ you’re not a mistake;
Remember how He forgave you ~ no longer remembering your past … and
Remember how He crowns you with His loving kindness and tender mercy.
Allow yourself … to receive in your spirit, His unfailing, unconditional love toward you … and … know the overwhelming peace that only He can give you!        
There is a song sung by Kari Jobe called ‘The More I Seek You’ and the lyrics are:
“The more I seek you,
The more I find you.
The more I find you, the more I love you.
I wanna sit at your feet,
Drink from the cup in your hand,
Lay back against you and breath, feel your heart beat.
This love is so deep, it’s more than I can stand.
I melt in your peace, it’s overwhelming.”
 Ahhh …. sit back for a moment today, lean into the love and peace God offers you through Jesus Christ.  See yourself through His eyes ~ You are His Masterpiece!
